GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION – NEUROTRAUMACON 2019

  • You can submit only one abstract for award paper and / or award poster.
  • You cannot submit more than two abstracts in free paper and /or free poster category.
  • Abstract should contain title, aim, materials and methods, results and conclusion.
  • Title should not exceed 60 characters.
  • Abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • The first author will be the main contact for all correspondence about the presentation.
  • All Presentations or abstracts must be in English language.
  • Fill appropriate topic related to your presentation.
  • All Submissions will be acknowledged by email.
  • By submission of an Abstract, the author transfers copyrights ownership to the NTSI for publications. The NEUROTRAUMA 2019 reserves the right to reproduce the abstract/ presentation made in conference in print or electronic media.
  • The committee will review the Abstracts and the acceptance notification will reach the presenting author by 15.07.2019
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to allocate a session time or change the presentation type.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT CONTENT

  • Figures tables and graphs should not be included.
  • Use generic names of drugs only.
  • No references may be included in the abstract.

GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTATION – NEUROTRAUMACON 2019

  • All Submission will be made electronically only through the NEUROTRAUMA 2019 website. Abstracts centre shall be open on 1st February 2019 and shall close on 30.06.2019.
  • All presenters must register for the conference.
  • Abstracts to be submitted in one of the categories mentioned above. All abstracts for any form of presentation must follow the prescribed guidelines and the paper must be submitted in the prescribed format mentioned on the website only.
  • Abstracts not following these guidelines will be rejected.
  • Please note that one presenter can only submit one abstract. The second abstract will only be considered if one abstract is in Posters Category.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • All abstracts must be the original work of the authors, with all listed authors having significant contribution to the completion of the work.
  • Submission of an abstract constitutes the author’s commitment to present the abstract if accepted and in the session as assigned by the Scientific committee.
  • All expenses associated with the preparation and presentation of the abstracts is the responsibility of the author/presenter. Abstracts of the accepted papers will be printed in the abstract book as received. Hence authors must ensure error free text.

Each Best Paper award consists of a cash prize of 20,000 INR and a Certificate

Rules for Award Papers – Neurotrauma Society of India

  • Contestant should be below the age of 45 years
  • Total experience excluding training in the specialty not to exceed 7 years
  • Should be a Full Member or have completed at least one year Associate Membership of the Society
  • Work presented should have been done in India
  • The contestant should present the paper in the conference personally
  • Full text of the paper should be submitted in electronic format as per guidelines of Indian Journal of Neurotrauma to: Secretary, NTSI (secretaryntsi1@gmail.com) & Editor IJNT (editorijnt@gmail.com)
  • All authors to give a joint undertaking that Indian Journal of Neurotrauma will have the first right to publish the work. The paper should not have been published or presented earlier in any other conference.
  • The head of the Department/Institution to which a candidate is attached should certify that the work presented is the candidate's personal contribution of which the candidate did the major part of the work.
  • Last date for receiving the manuscript is June 30, 2019

  • Open to all categories of members
  • Personal presentation mandatory
  • Certificate of Merit and cash prize Rules for poster competition
  1. Contestant should be below the age of 45 years.
  2. Total experience excluding training in the specialty not to exceed 7 years.
  3. Should have completed at least one year Associate membership of the Society.
  4. Work presented should have been done in India.
  5. The contestant should present the poster in the conference personally.
  6. Poster will be displayed on three days of the conference in the designated area.
  7. The poster should not have been published or presented earlier in any other conference.
  8. The head of the Department/Institution to which a candidate is attached should certify that the work presented is the candidate’s personal contribution of which the candidate did the major part of the work.

Neurotrauma Institutional Award

Abstract submission guidelines

Proposals are invited for the Institutional Award of the Neurotrauma Society of India for the year 2018-2019 to be awarded during the Annual Conference at Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The award recognizes the best work done in Neurotrauma by an institution from April 2018 to March 2019. Institutions that have previously received the award will not be considered. The award will be decided by a three member committee appointed by the EC of the Neurotrauma Society of India. It consists of cash prize of Rs. 30,000, a certificate and a plaque, and will be presented at the closing ceremony.

Submit the application by email to the Secretary with the following sections:

  • Brief background of the institution
  • Introduction of the Neurotrauma / Trauma department contesting for the award
  • Pre Hospital Care: Number of ambulances / Staffing of ambulances with staff training and qualification / Number of calls per day / Recording of calls / Response time
  • Staffing in the trauma facility in all shifts
  • Hospital reception resuscitation and triage system
  • Facilities available in the trauma area: CT scan with distance / X-ray unit / Portable Xray / Ultrasound / ECG / Ventilators
  • Doctors exclusively working in the trauma facility with qualifications, and a detailed CV of person heading the trauma centre
  • Training facilities and equipment if available
  • Teaching activities: BLS/ ATLS or other courses organized in the last 1 year
  • Trauma registry:Provide brief report of the type of registry being maintained
  • Research activities: Publications, participation in any clinical trials with details
  • Photographs of your Institute / Department (maximum of 3)
  • Use graphs charts where ever required

NTSI – ALFRED Trauma Research Development Award

Abstract submission guidelines

Sponsored by : The Alfred Hospital (www.alfred.org.au) Melbourne, Australia.

This award will comprise of:

  • An invitation to present the paper at the Australian National Trauma Research Institute Meeting that is generally scheduled in November each year.
  • Certificate of Merit and a Medal.
  • One week placement as a Visiting Fellow at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia
  • Return economy airfare to the conference venue in Australia including airport transfers
  • Accommodation cost at the Parkview Hotel or similar hotel for the above period.

Rules for the NTSI-Alfred Trauma Research Development Award :

  • Open only to Full Members of NTSI for the first five years of full membership
  • Age below 40 years
  • Platform presentation only
  • Presenter should be the first author.
  • Presentation should be related to trauma
  • Must be willing to make the presentation at the Australian Trauma Society Annual Meeting.
  • Last date for receiving the manuscript is June 30, 2019.
